Manna For Momma

Spiritual Nutrition for Malnourished Mommas

Manna is defined as “the substance miraculously supplied as food for the Israelites while in the wilderness” (Webster) Exodus 16.

God gave the Israelites precisely the amount of manna they needed exactly when they needed it. Interestingly enough, they could not keep more then they needed, making it impossible to use the manna greedily or for personal gain. They were still totally dependent on God.

If there is only one analogy for motherhood, the wilderness about sums it up. It can be beautiful with jaw-dropping scenery and sounds of sweet harmony. It can be exciting and adventurous. But it can also be dark and scary, leaving you feeling alone and afraid. It can be hard to see the forest, through the trees. It can be difficult to see the big picture of motherhood, through all the small moments we experience every day.

These posts are not meant to make you a better mother, they are meant to make you a better child. By becoming a more mature child of God, you will most assuredly also become a more mature and controlled mother. But sister, don’t let that go to your head, you’re still not in control, you simply learn to release control to your Father.

I hope these posts serve as substance for you from the Holy Spirit. Gaining the perfect amount of nutrition precisely when you need it. I pray that they leave you feeling energized and nourished.

Join me on this motherhood journey as we walk along side a Heavenly Father who longs for us to cling to Him.

Please understand this, these words, stories and analogies do not come from the perspective of an amazing mother. These posts come the perspective of a rebellious child with an amazing Heavenly Father.
