Scripture to pray over Teachers- Plus Gift Ideas!

Let’s be real here, teachers are the bomb. When was the last time you prayed for your child’s teacher(s) and school facilitators and coaches?

With the school year just starting, let’s be parents who pray not only for our children but also for the other adults who spend the majority of their day with our kids as well!

Here are some scriptures to pray over those leaders! Be sure to read to the end for some back to school teacher gift ideas! As well as tags for those gifts you can save and print!

Pray for them to be blessed and have peace.

"The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you, the Lord lift up his countenance on you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Pray for them to be wise and kind in their talk to the kids their classrooms  or on their team.

“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” Proverbs 31:25-26

Pray for them to be hard workers and committed to growing the minds of the kids they see everyday.

“Whatever work you do, do it with all your heart. Do it for the Lord and not for men.” Colossians 3:23

Pray for their teaching to be graceful and easy.

“Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.” Deuteronomy 32:2

Pray for them to be confident that what are doing matters, especially on those inevitable hard days.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58

Pray that they will be thankful in all circumstances.

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17

Pray that they will plant seeds in the children they teach and coach but that they will trust God to make their work fruitful.

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3

Pray that they have perseverance and endurance to their job faithfully.

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

Ok … on to the gift ideas!!

One of my personal favorites is a coffee gift card with the note you see here (that you can totally save as a picture and print where you print pictures yourself)! This is also a nice option if you have a few teachers to buy for, You can get a few $5-$10 cards, one fore each teacher. Or a bigger card for one teacher.

“You bring the knowledge, I’ll bring the energy.” You can do this with their favorite caffeinated beverage or energy drink as well!

A basket with "tools" like nice pens, extra pencils, Tylenol, chapstick, germ ex, tissues, highlighters, gum, maybe candy! This one you can really have fun with and add whatevery your teacher/ coach likes!

If you don’t have a cookie lady, you need one! I  love to shop at local small businesses and order personalized cookies for the teachers in my kids lives. You can probably post on Facebook asking if anyone in your area knows a local cookie maker and get a ton of referrals.

Classroom plant! Get you a plant that is easy to take care of and make it the classroom plant. You might even name it!

I would love to hear your other ideas for teacher gifts so please let me know!

If you know of someone else who would benefit from this blog post, please share and tag me!!
