Scripture for Back To School

It’s almost that time friends!! Back To School!!



I personally love this time of year. I love the new supplies, the organization, new friends and new opportunities!


But let’s be honest, it can be a super busy and overwhelming time as well. Especially for our kids. It can be intimidating and scary for them and us.



So, here are a few verses in Scripture that we can pray over our kids as they go into the new school year!


  1. Ephesians 4:32 – Ask God to help them be kind. “Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just a God through Christ has forgiven you”.

  2. Joshua 1:9 – Ask God to make them strong and courageous and Praise God for always being with them. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

  3. Proverbs 10:9 – Ask God to help them walk in integrity this year. “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,     but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”

  4. Psalm 56:3 – Ask God to help them put their trust in Him when they inevitably go through scary situations. ”When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

  5. Philippians 4:6-7 – Ask God to help them not worry and to be at peace. ”Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

  6. Luke 2:52 – Ask God to help them grow this year. ”And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”

  7. Proverbs 17:17 – Pray for their relationships with their friends. ”A friend loves at all times,     and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”

  8. Colossians 3:23 – Ask God to help them work hard. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters”

  9. James 1:5 – Ask God to give them wisdom. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

  10. Philippians 4:12 – Pray for their contentment in all circumstances. “I  know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want”
